His legal education Vaidas Mackonis gained at Vilnius University's Faculty of Law where in 2001 he obtained master degree in law.
In 1993 advocate Vaidas Mackonis also gained engineering education at Vilnius University's Faculty of Natural Science.
Advocate Vaidas Mackonis began his legal career in 1998 in one of the largest telecommunications companies in Lithuania AB "Lietuvos telekomas", where he was implementing real estate and telecommunications projects, also worked in spheres of competition law and communications regulation. Until then advocate Vaidas Mackonis worked in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Lithuania, in the Department of Euro-integration, , participated in different projects of euro-integration and technical support.
In 2003 advocate Vaidas Mackonis was registered as advocate's assistant and in 2004 started working as an advocate. Since then advocate Vaidas Mackonis improved his legal practice working in the law firm Aničas, Okinčic and partners and since the year 2006 is working in the professional law partnership Mackonis, Pilkis and partners JMP LAW.
